HIGHLIGHTS

 

Applicability

Wind and solar power generators connected with the grid independently or through pooling sub-stations or solar parks. 

Forecasting and Scheduling Code

  • Qualified coordinating agency (QCA) or wind/solar generator shall submit a day-ahead schedule.
  • Schedule at 15 minute intervals for the entire next day starting from 00:00 hrs.
  • Generators with multiple transactions, with a common interface meter, need to submit schedules as per approved capacity.
  • SLDC shall also carry out forecasting of wind and solar power. 

Role of QCA and Implementation

  • One QCA for each pooling station.
  • In case only one generator is connected to the pooling sub-station then such generator shall act as QCA.
  • QCA will be the single point of contact with regard to:

    • Providing any revised schedule.
    • Coordinating with SLDC/STU or other relevant agencies.

    • Undertaking commercial settlements on behalf of generators.

Commercial and Deviation Settlement

  • Generators connected to the state grid and selling power within the state shall be paid as per actual electricity supplied.
  • Generators connected to the state grid and selling power outside the state shall be paid as per scheduled generation.

Settlement of Inter-state Transaction (Generator connected to state grid selling power outside the state)

Deviation charges for under or over injection in the state grid for sale of power outside the state shall be subject to CERC (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Related Matters) Regulations, 2014.
