As on 31st March, 2018 total share of biomass and cogeneration projects in terms of value in the total renewable energy sector was 21.70%. As a result of activities in the biomass and cogeneration sector, approximately 46.42 million tonnes CO2 equivalent emissions were avoided during 2017-18...

Grid-connected rooftop solar projects are gathering momentum in India. Over last one and half year over 700 MW rooftop solar projects have been installed. As on 31.07.2018, total investment on rooftop solar projects stands at US$ 0.76 billion at 2018 price of solar plants. It occupies approximately 1.44% of RE market share as on 31.03.2018. With accelerated installation and rising market share, it helped in avoiding 1.01 million tones CO2 between 01.01.2017 and 31.03.2018.
