Certificates

Certificates purchased by obligated entities shall be deposited with the Commission within 15 days of purchase.

Effect of default
  • In case of non-fulfilment of RPO by obligated entities, the entity may be directed to deposit an amount_____ into a separate fund maintained byit.
  • The amount of deposit shall be determined by the Commission on the basis of shortfall in RPO and forbearance price.
  • The fund so created shall be utilized as per the Commission’s directive,partly for purchase of certificates and partly for development of transmission infrastructure for evacuation of power from renewable energy based generating plants.
