Madhya Pradesh Net Metering Regulations - 2015

HIGHLIGHTS

 

Control Period

From the date of publication in the official gazette.

Eligibility Condition
  • Consumer of electricity in the area of the distribution licensee.
  • Capacity of the system shall be up to the permissible individual rated capacity of 1 MW at HT.
Capacity Target for Distribution Licensee

Cumulative capacity allowed at a particular distribution transformer shall not exceed 30% of the peak capacity of the distribution transformer.

Metering Arrangement

Until bi-directional meters are installed, net meters which may be used shall be of accuracy class 1.0 or better, or as per specification notified by the CEA.

 

OTHER PROVISIONS

 

Energy accounting and settlement
  • Excess electricity injected shall be carried forward to the next billing period as electricity credit.
  • Distribution licensee shall raise bills for net electricity consumption by the entity after taking into account electricity credit balance from the previous period.
  • In case of time of day tariff, the electricity consumption in any time period shall be first compensated with electricity generated in the same time block, and any accumulated excess generation over consumption in any other time block shall be accounted as if the excess generation occurred during off-peak time block.
  • Any net unadjusted energy credit at the end of a financial year shall be paid by the distribution licensee at average pooled cost of power purchase.
Other charges

Exempted from banking, wheeling and cross subsidy.

Penalty

As per the provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Electricity RegulatoryCommission (Distribution Performance Standards) (Revision-II) Regulations, 2012, as amended from time to time.
