Biomass power projects up to 20 MW capacity.

Tax Exemptions

Captive power producers will be exempted from electricity duty @ 50% for a period of 7 years from COD.

Evacuation Arrangement

  •      Generating plant substation will be developed and maintained by the power producer who will also bear the entire cost.

  •     The producer will terminate his33 kV power evacuation feeder to nearby RVPN’s 132/33 kV or 220/132/33 kV GSS, or any other Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (RVPN) GSS, in consultation with RREC.

  •     The evacuation system beyond generating plant substation till the nearest RVPN’s 220/132/33kV or 132/33kVgrid sub-station shall be developed by power producer.

  •     RVPN/DISCOM will augment the power transmission/distribution network withina mutually agreed timeframe to evacuate power from the receiving station.

 

OTHER PROVISIONS

 

Grid connectivity

charges

Power producer will pay grid connectivity charges as finalized by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC). 

Biomass fuel

Husks of wheat, millet, barley and jowarshall not be treated as fuel for biomass projects. 

Water requirement

Power producer will be allowed to use water from sources of the Water Resource Department,subject to availability of water, for power generation. For ground water usage, the power producer will have to take permission from the Ground Water Department or Water Resource Department.

Allotment of land

Government land required for biomass power plantsshall be allotted to power producersat concessional rates.
